This study tried to uncover solidarity shift of young people Surabaya nicknamed “arek after the reformation era in Indonesia. The was based on assumption that is not static but dynamic. It hypothesized has undergone some kinds Indonesia 1998, fall new regime. also believed social as well political changes have significant impact change. .To obtain research data a phenomenological method utilized. subjects this were belonging Arek Community Surabaya. location old villages City.
